Things Aren't Always As They Seem

This might look like a common family birthday party at home. But in reality Kelsi got to spend her 19th birthday party with 4 guys, ages 19-21. Lucky her. Too bad they are off limits for now;) They were the Elders (from our ward and from the Spanish Branch) who came over for Easter Dinner. It was a nice day and we're glad to have our Kelsi home for a few more days before she goes back to school.

She got to spend her actual birthday at Pismo Beach. A place most would feel privileged to be for their birthday, not Kelsi however. She is not a beach fan, but since her birthday often falls during spring break this is where we've been a couple of times in the last 5 years.  She is a good sport though.

We've made it a tradition to get some yummy cinnamon rolls to celebrate with. This year we did our traditional hiding of birthday gifts and then playing "hot and cold" for her to find them, of course it was in the hotel room but fun none the less. Disney products were on the order of her favorite stuff. She specifically requested a sippy cup (she didn't call it that, but she wanted a cup with a built in straw). Imagine my joy when I found one at the Disney Store.

Happy birthday, Kelsi. You still need to come visit us sometime while you are living in Rexburg.

All the photos of Afton are hilarious.
